Leading NSC Building Automation is Director Misty Givens

In 2013, NSC’s Applied Products Group (APG) launched with a simple idea: to bring NSC’s 70-year legacy of a “consider it solved” approach to customer service into the applied HVAC equipment industry.

To complement this line card offering of chillers, boilers, VRF, DOAS and other equipment at NSC APG, NSC is proud to announce the launch of our newest business unit, NSC Building Automation Systems (NSC BAS). Along with our controls manufacturing partners Delta Controls and 75F, NSC BAS blends our customer first mind-set into the ever-changing world of business automation caused by the advancement of cloud-based infrastructures, machine learning and wireless technology.

The key to this group is the talent we have assembled:

Misty Givens serves as the Director of Building Automation. She joined NSC with over 20 years of experience in the building automation controls industry, most recently as a Subject Matter Expert for Delta Controls. “Misty will combine her industry and technical knowledge with her leadership abilities to build a team that fully supports our customers. Building owners put a lot of faith in their controls partner and Misty has a proven track record in delivering on that trust,” said Mark Miller – Vice President of Sales at NSC.

Jason Harris serves as the Lead UX/UI Controls Designer, responsible for enhancing the user experience and operational integration between HVAC equipment and their controls. Jason has consistently showcased his expertise in problem-solving and delivering network designs within established schedules and budget constraints.

Matthew Livingston serves as Team Leader, offering strategic direction and mentorship to project teams. He will supervise progress towards objectives and provide coaching to team members as needed. Matt’s goal: deliver building automation on budget and on time…every time.

NSC BAS seeks to remain at the cutting edge of building automation without forgetting the basic principle of treating our clients like friends…because they are. We embrace and are prepared for the industry-wide shift away from traditional user-operated building controls towards fully automated HVAC and building systems. We are not just observing these changes on the sideline—we are in the game!
